The Busoga Tourism Initiative (BTI) organised a tour on 25.2.13 in Busoga region to discover her hidden treasures. The team was led by the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament,Hon.Rebecca Kadaga, Minister of Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities,Hon.Maria Mutagamba, Area members of Parliament, Officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Uganda Wildlife Authority which was represented by Mr. Stephen Masaba Stephen the Business Development Manager and Mr.Dick  Katana  a reservation officer.

The purpose of the tour was to show case the potential of tourism sites in Busoga region which included among others the source of the Nile, the world's longest river and only one which flows northwards, a place called Mpumwile (Mpumude) where the former king of Bunyoro Kabalega died, Busoga Kyabazinga's palace at Igenge and Kyando place where Bishop Hanington was killed.

Other sites were Nhenda hill where the Abaise Igaga clan claims their origin as well as Kagulu hill which is believed to be the first migration settlement centre in Busoga region.

The delegation was also given information to the effect that there exists a sanctuary at Bukaleba in Mayuge District whose tourism potential is untapped.BTI is organizing a Kagulu climbing challenge due to take place from 10th-12th May 2013
