The newly constructed Semanya Marine Ranger post near Pakuba in Murchison Falls National Park recently received another boost in form of a Marine Container with all accessories required for a Marine station.

This has been made possible by the Uganda Conservation Foundation (UCF). The container is being assembled in Kampala and is expected to be installed at Semanya over the next two to three weeks to complete the Marine Station.
This development is expected to put an end to the poaching threat from fishermen coming from communities across the River Nile that had made the Delta area and areas near Pakuba their poaching haven.
