image001-rangersA total of 430 rangers recruited from communities neighbouring protected areas in the country are undergoing a four months intensive training in wildlife protection, interpretive guiding, intelligence gathering and ticket inspection.

The training which began late last year

is taking place in the Murchison Falls Training wing. It is jointly conducted by UWA and Uganda Peoples Defense Forces(UPDF).After the training, the rangers will be deployed to different protected areas to enhance the integrity of conservation areas.
