The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) Board of Trustees has recruited new senior staff and confirmed others in acting positions. Dr. Andrew Ggunga Seguya was confirmed as the substantive Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer effective December 2012

after acting in the same position since late 2010.

He formerly worked as the Executive Director Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC) Entebbe. The board also recruited Mr. Raymond Engena who formerly served as UWA’s Concessions manager to the post of Director Tourism and Business Services (DTBS).

Others recruited include Mr.John Ocitti as the director for Finance Services, Mr. Charles Tumwesigye as the Chief Conservation Area Manager (CCAM) Mr. Mack Opowo as the Procurement manager, Ms Ingrid Nyonza Nyakabwa as the Marketing Manager, Mr. Samuel Besigye as the Partnerships Coordinator. Ms Barbara Mugisha is the new Executive Assistant. In the field operations, Mr. Pontious Ezuma has been confirmed as the substantive Conservation Area Manager (CAM) for Bwindi-Mgahinga Conservation Area(BMCA) while Mr. Nelson Guma is the new CAM for Queen Elizabeth Conservation Area.
