UWA signs a Tourist facility development Concession with Asyanut Safaris Limited

The Uganda wildlife Authority (UWA) has signed a 15 year concession with Asyanut Safaris to build and operate a luxury tented camp and campsite at Ntoroko in Toro semiliki wildlife Reserve. Toro semiliki wildlife Reserve is located in Western Uganda bordering DR Congo along Lake Albert and approx 2 hrs from fort portal. The 15 year concession whose terms will be reviewed every 2 years targets to have 16 Luxury tents and camping grounds. Asyanut safaris - also a registered Tour operator in Uganda and has an accommodation facility in Bwindi Impenetrable National park will support communities of Ntoroko through local employment and purchase of local supplies. UWA has planned developing access roads and trails within the reserve to facilitate Tourist Game drives and enjoyment of the scenic beauty, flora and ever increasing wildlife population.

Toro semiliki wildlife reserve is also adjust to semiliki national park where we find the only true lowland tropical rain forest in Uganda with lots of restricted bird species like the white throated blue swallow and famous for the sempaya Hot springs. The investment in this area will improve on accommodation availability in UWA protected areas and visitation to the reserve.
